A fun activity that we did awhile ago was making hot rocks. The kids loved it! First we went on a rock hunt around the yard and found only the best rocks. Then we cooked the rocks in the oven on about 250 degrees for 10ish minutes so that they were warm to the touch but not hot. The kids loved the idea that we were putting the rocks in the oven to cook them! Then the kids colored on them with crayons which melted when they touched the hot rocks. It was like magic. Poor Bailey was sick with mono during this activity and in the pic above you can see the rash and hives his high fever caused. Poor lil guy. I'm so glad that he's better now.

Then Ainsley wanted to line them all up outside so that they could be fairy rocks for the fairies to come and visit. I love her imagination.
