Princess Ainsley

Hear ye!  Hear ye!
You are cordially invited to a royal celebration.
Princess Ainsley is turning three!

I can't believe that this post is SO belated... but in July we had a super fun princess party for Ainsley's 3rd birthday.  We have never really pushed princesses on Ainsley because I never really liked the idea of our little girl growing up thinking she was a princess because I never want her to be spoiled.  That said, before her birthday she became obsessed with princesses and the Cinderella movie... and I kinda went with it and LOVED it just as much as she did.  Then she asked for a princess birthday party, I'll admit that I got a bit carried away... but it was just too much fun!  George kept reminding me that parties like this might have to be an every other year event.  :)

Ainsley's Princess Boutique... I had a bunch of necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, hats/crowns, and other bling set up and the kiddos got to accessorize for the party and then take what they wanted home as their party favor.  It was a big hit and so fun to see how excited the kids got and to see what everyone liked.  Plus, I was very proud of how well Ainsley shared and how eager she was to give all of her friends more and more jewelry!  :)

Ainsley made this little mirror especially for her party.

Then the highlight of the party... CINDERELLA came to wish Ainsley happy birthday!  Cinderella called the night before the party and told Ainsley that she would see her the next day, so Ainsley knew that she was coming, but still, the look on her face when Cinderella walked in was pure delight, surprise, and joy!  She was completely star struck but still greeted Cinderella with a big hug.  She got a little shy after that but warmed up again quickly once Cinderella started telling stories, blowing bubbles, teaching the kids how to bow and curtsy, doing magic tricks and face painting, and playing games with the kids.

Prince Bailey... The invitation asked all the guests to come dressed as princesses and princes, so of course Bailey had to have a costume too.  I had so much fun making this cape and shirt for him.  And he loved wearing it, which made it all that much more satisfying!  But the poor boy woke up from his morning nap to a completely transformed house, so he was a little stunned in these first pictures.

She was just in heaven the whole party!  It was so fun to get to give such happiness and pure childhood joy to her.
