Since we weren't able to spend Christmas in Missouri this year, my Mom, Dad, and two younger brothers came down to see us a few days after Christmas. Sadly, we missed my older brother Matthew and his wife Meaghan who were celebrating with friends in Boston. We also missed getting to see extended family but I have to say it was pretty nice to get to host everyone down here. And Ainsley was SO SO excited to get to have Grandma and Grandpa Smoothie and the uncles "stay at our home". She keeps asking when everyone is coming back. :)
My mom brought down some of the sentimental ornaments from when I was little and some of the soft ones that she and my Grandma Cary made over the years. It is going to be sweet to add these to our tree next year.
Ainsley's special gift from my parents was a new baby doll. She is in LOVE and is such a sweet mommy! Below is right after she opened the doll, then changing a poopy diaper, then taking her baby on a trip in the back of her car.

Bailey's special gift was a Christmas train, which Ainsley enjoyed just as much as he did. :)
One of my special gifts was from my brother James, who painted Bailey an adorable robot for his room. James painted Ainsley a whimsical fairy for her first Christmas and it warms my heart that he is continuing the tradition. A little Bailey-bot!
The rest of the week was spent:
Adventuring out to yummy Austin eateries, food trailers, and pubs. George and my dad stood in-line to get Franklin's famous bbq on two different days, only to be turned away because they sold out! The second day they got there an hour before it opened and they amazingly still didn't have any luck. I guess it just leaves something to look forward to next time. Here are pics from one of the food trailers.
Playing outside. It was gorgeous and warm everyday!
And just enjoying having family with us!
We missed everyone the second they left. Somehow even with two munchkins running around it feels too quiet with just us. We love you all!! Come back soon!! xoxox

So glad your Dad, Mom, James, and Brian were able to spend some quality time at Christmas with you. It looks like everyone had a GREAT time! We missed seeing you, but totally understand - and just look forward to getting together with you the next time you're in Missouri. Love you lots, Alice
