Bailey is just getting bigger and bigger before our eyes - it is so hard to believe that he is already 3 months old (or almost 3 and a half months old since this post is a bit late)! We have a few friends who just had babies and their lil ones make Bailey look and feel like a giant already. We don't have a dr's visit this month but from our home scale estimates he is already 13 pounds! All that to say, he is still nursing great. He is starting to get a little distracted but obviously not enough to not get the job done. :)
This past month has been full of milestones. At 10 weeks, he rolled over from his belly to his back for the first time which was the start of him already proving to be all boy! He is constantly wiggling and squirming and never stays put. One second he will be in the middle of his activity mat and the next he has wiggled his way completely off! He has also learned to kick/thrust his legs forward when he's in his swing or bouncy seat so that he almost falls out. This almost gave me a heart attack the first time I saw him half hanging out of the swing! Yikes! Now we are extra careful to make sure he is completely buckled in. Which, as a sidenote, is something we never did we Ainsley. I guess that just goes to show you that little boys are just more active and it already makes me a little nervous about his toddler years.
Somewhere during the middle of this month we moved him from a pack-n-play beside the bed in our room to the crib in his room. After our trip to Fort Worth we were feeling lazy about putting up his pack-n-play so that's when we decided it was time. Truth be told, I felt kind of sentimental about this so after our trip we actually did put him back in our room. But we moved him from beside the bed to across the room. And then he eventually made it down the hall to his crib in his room.
His first true out-loud laugh was at 11.5 weeks old. Oddly enough I was gently bouncing him on my knee and singing the VeggieTales theme song - that is constantly going through my head thanks to Ainsley's newest obsession - and he just broke out into the most adorable little giggle. Since then we get a good laugh out of him at least a few times a day. Often when we are tickling his armpits, kissing his cheeks, or singing and they are just the best!
He slept through the night (from 11pm to 6am) for the first time at 12 weeks old, although we've yet to see a repeat performance. And if anything the nights these past few weeks have felt much more like we have a newborn than a 3 month old. His best nights he is getting up 2-3 times (once to eat and the other times because he loses a paci or gets unswaddled) and his worst nights it is every hour or so. Ugh... I'm so, so, so ready for this phase to be over!

All and all, he continues to be such a wonder and a joy and we just love him to pieces. I know I have said this before but it never ceases to amaze me how these little people grow, develop, and change. And the second time around, it is so neat to see how Bailey is similar to how Ainsley was at this age and then so uniquely different at the same time. I just love him, love him!
