Ainsley's Echo Update

Hey folks,
Just wanted to update everyone on the results of Ainsley's echo cardiogram this afternoon. Everything looks absolutely fine - no heart issues at all. This is great news. The doctors didn't expect to find anything wrong, but wanted to take a look just to rule out any potential heart problems. So it's great to have some good news.

Other good news is that Ainsley's oxygen requirement has been decreasing over the past few days. She's now hovering around 30% oxygen. She needs to get down to 21% which is normal room air oxygen content, and will have to stay there for at least 48 hours before we can take her home. The nurses will continue to try to wean her lower and hopefully her lungs will continue to clear out what remains of the pneumonia. Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers and we'll keep you updated as things change.

Woo hoo! I'm glad you guys are finally getting some good news. Sounds like Ainsley's getting better every day - can't wait till you have her home. And her little hat and blanket look familiar - is that her Grandma Linda's handiwork? We still have ours from when Will was born. They're so soft and cuddly, we loved them. We'll still keep thoughts and prayers headed your way. Give our little niece a kiss for us!

It sounds like the Ainsley is making some progress with her oxygen levels which is such an answered prayer. Hang in there...I know it is so hard for your sweet little girl not to be home with you. Will pray that the Lord's grace and peace will continue to sustain you guys. Love, Emily
