In May, Ainsley had her kindergarten graduation celebration at Casner. The school made it so sweet and special. Ainsley looked so grown up and it is still hard for me to believe that she isn't going to be at this school next year. Above is Ainsley and her teacher Mrs. Sencenbaugh and below she is with me before the ceremony.
The graduation celebration was held during the normal chapel time so Bailey got to be there to watch too which was special. Here he is walking into chapel with his cute 'chapel hands' and sweet smile.
Our graduate walking into chapel and then waiting patiently in the front for all the other kindergartners to file in. She was so poised and beautiful.
Once everyone walked in, the kindergartners performed a song with sign language motions.
Then each teacher came up and read aloud a letter that she had written to her class. This was a real tearjerker because the letters were so heartfelt and loving. Below is Ainsley's teacher addressing her class.
Afterwards each child's name was read allowed and the kids walked across the stage and shook their teacher's hand and got their certificate. Then the teacher and child would hug and smile for the camera. This was supposed to make a great photo op for us parents but poor Ainsley just looked a little caught off guard.
At the end of the ceremony all the kids danced and boogied out of the sanctuary to the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. It was so cute! Other kids were blocking Ainsley on the aisle but I did get this pic of her coming off the stage. And then this pic of Bailey dancing out the door.
There was a small reception after chapel where we snapped a few more pictures in front of the classes hand print banner. Ainsley was so giddy and proud. Her hand prints are in blue right beside her in this first picture.
Then we took Bailey out of school and we all went out for a nice celebration lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We are so proud of our big girl kindergarten Casner graduate!!
