Big girl bed

At some point in early June, Ainsley began asking to take naps in the big girl bed that has been in her room for about a year now.  She is a pretty inconsistent napper so I was a little nervous about this transition but it went great.  She started napping in her big girl bed more and more and then began asking to sleep in her big bed at night too.  Again, I have been dreading this transition but again, it went pretty smooth.  There are two rules of the big girl bed: 1) you have to stay in the bed, and 2) you have to go to sleep.  She doesn't always follow the second rule, especially during naps but so far she has followed the first rule great and hasn't tried to get out of her bed.  From some of our friends experiences, we are probably in the "honeymoon" phase and she'll eventually realize that she can climb out if she wants too, but it has been almost 2 months so for now we are enjoying it!  We are also loving how adorable she looks in her big bed and this past weekend we packed up her crib for good.  These pics are taken from when I go in to wake her up after nap.  She can be a little grumpy.  :)  And yes, she sometimes sleeps under her pillow or completely under her blankets!  My little girl is getting so big!!
