This Week

This week started out kind of rocky with both of our munchkins having some sort of virus that caused high fever, cough/running nose/congestion, vomiting, and sad, cranky kids. On Saturday Ainsley's fever got up to 105.2 and wasn't responding to medicine so George and her took a trip to the ER while I stayed home with Bailey who had just started coming down with the same thing. They took chest xrays to rule out pneumonia which thankfully she didn't have and then gave her some extra medicine to bring down her fever. It all seems simple in hindsight but it was a very scary day. Then the next night poor Bailey was crying almost inconsolably and vomiting everywhere. Not fun but thankfully everyone has been feeling better as the week has gone on... which has led to several tea parties outside in the beautiful weather we've been having. This little tea set was one of Ainsley's pooping incentive presents and her and Bailey are so stinkin' cute playing tea party together. I love it!!



Ainsley has been OBSESSED with "Go Frogs" lately and has insisted on wearing TCU clothes all.the.time - dirty or clean.

Easter egg dying... this was admittedly a little nerve racking for me because I didn't want Ainsley to make a huge mess but she did really well and was extra patient with all my instruction.



Bailey playing with our stash of plastic bags. This was when Ainsley was still super sick and I was trying desperately to think of things for him to do to keep him busy and away from her. This worked pretty well even though he would grab a bunch and go over and show them to her. It was sweet because you could tell that they missed playing with each other.



And lastly, one afternoon Lucy and Ainsley went on a quick errand to the grocery store and came back with these beautiful tulips for me. Apparently Ainsley saw them in the store and got really excited about it and said we need to take these to our home for mommy. Pretty sweet. She came running up to me saying "Taadaa! Look at these really pretty flowers for you! Taadaa!" Awww. My first 'just because' flowers from my daughter. Love you lil girl.
