Funky Town

This weekend we went to Fort Worth aka Funky Town to see our good friends the Davis' who were visiting from Indiana where Brian is the RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) minister at Purdue. We stayed with the Bates' where we got to meet lil Luke, their newest addition. It was a little like we were running a day care with all the kiddos under the age of 4 running around. We did corral them all in for one group shot (above) which wasn't met with too much opposition thanks to Emily's wild dancing behind the camera. :) Left to right the kiddos are Ainsley (almost 1), Caleb (2), Jack (almost 4), Dustin (2), Matthew (2), and Baby Luke (3 months).

Here's the gang playing outside in the water. Below is Ainsley then Jack with his little brother, Dustin.

Caleb (below) was so smitten with Ainsley and almost as soon as he saw her gave her a big unprovoked kiss on the lips! He would follow her around and anytime she stopped crawling he would lean over and give her a kiss on the top of the head. It was so stinkin' cute!!

Brian and Tim are some of George's best guy friends from college so Friday night they all went "camping" along with a few other buddies. They took off in Tim's TCU RV with a lot of beer, hot dogs, and cookies and came back pretty sleepy so I think they had a pretty good time.

Of course I didn't get a picture of us girls but we had a good time holding down the fort while the boys were away... and actually had some great conversations once the kids went to bed. :) Thanks for a great weekend friends!
