One Month Stats

Weight: 9 lbs (25-50th percentile)

Height: 21 1/2 inches (75th percentile)

Head Circumference: 37 1/2 cm (50-75th percentile)

Looks Like: Everyone pretty much sees a combination of both George and me. I think she has my nose and chin and we're both hoping that she's going to have George's blue eyes.

Development: Ainsley can follow me, George, and black and white toys with her eyes and can lift up her head and makes the sweetest little cooing noises. She also has the best open mouth smiles that light up her whole face when we rub her nose or kiss her cheeks or head. But she hasn't learned how to do them for the camera quite yet.

Loves: She loves stretching and kicking her legs around when she's getting her diaper changed or when we undo her swaddle blanket. She also loves warm baths. She babbles and coos about it for a long time afterwards. And she loves the morning and waking up from naps. It is her sweetest time. Oddly enough, she also really loves staring at the blue wall in our apartment. Hope she doesn't miss it too much when we move.

Dislikes: She hates her acid reflux medicine, even though it smells great and is supposed to taste like bubblegum. She always tries to spit it out by pursing her lips and sputtering which is completely unsuccessful and hilarious to watch. She also hates her vitamins, but I don't blame her for this one - they smell terrible!

And of course she hates having to say goodbye to all the new friends she's meeting out here in California. We are all so sad to be packing up and leaving this wonderful place that has become home over the past two years. We love it and everyone here and are going to miss it terribly.
